Played the £15 + one £15 re-buy + £15 add on this afternoon. It was a last, last minute decision to play, was going to play the Sunday afty one but a few of the boys were going. One of which is like pulling teeth to try to him to go usually. So after dropping a buy in and a half playing on Stars at lunchtime following 1 bad beat and one cooler. I asked the trouser wearer if she minded me suprising the lads. To my total shock she was ok with it and arranged to do something other than watch 24 with me whilst I micro grinded all afty.
Anyways booked on over phone got there just prior to start grabbed a pint and played.
Got my first straight flush live when I hit a sweet 5 thru 9 of Diamonds and took two stacks to boot, one with KJ Diamonds and another guy who I assume had a full boat by the river, the way he bet when the board paired and spewed seeing my hand, so happy days. With only 27 runners it was only paying top 4 (Although looking at AWOP recently biggest Sat afty turn out for awhile, the £100 Monthly aside)
Made final tarb above average, so donned the infamous girly shades of doom, to much derision and piss taking, distraction acheived ITYVM! Played TAG all day, got four handed with only two major confrontations AQ v 99 door Ace was sweet and JJ v K9 to be doubled through by chip leader when 6 handed, following me shoving his button raise when in the BB.
My mate S was in the last 4 with me another mate bubbled 5th when he spewed remarkably following being 2nd in chips 3 hands into final tarb. At this point four handed me and a cock knee were both the shorties and had 500 chips between our stacks so agreed if we finished 4th and 3rd we'd split the relevant money. 4th= £90, 3rd = £180, 2nd = £270, 1st = £345. Somehow I won the blinds 4 hands running and was right back in it Cock knee doubled through my mate in cold fashion when on an 8810A3 board all the chips went in, my mates J8 no good against CK's K8. My mate went out shortly after and we were 3 handed, I really cranked it up at this point and surged to chip lead with barely any resistance it was great, before CK finally put the former mahoosive chip leader out in 3rd. CK wanted to deal at heads up, £280 each and play for remaining money, errr seemed a bit daft as 2nd was £270 so I just said play on. We were pretty much level to start I ground up a nice lead before I lost a 3rd of my stack 55 v JJ (He slow played it thank fook!) Then I hit a set of 8's v's his K6 on k high flop to take the lead. Then I made 2moves I couldn't follow through with as he shoved over both pre and I was weak both times, giving him a slight advantage eventually after I was ground down a bit following KN flopping trips twice in a row, we got it all in 55 v AJs board 10106 7 7 sick counterfeit but thems the breaks and I was happy with the day. I only needed the add on so £34 outlay, with a £270 return. £236 profits not to bad. Dropped S off got a chinese for me and me lovely other half and home for 8.30pm rather happy.
No humour today as I seem to be being took the wrong way of late. (Errr so to speak!)
Ends.
