It's official, I'm a MEMBER!!! (APAT Team Event)

"A" Team Raise the River MEMBER! Let battle commence!!!

I have been lucky enough to shoe horn my way into the RtR team for this weekends APAT team event, £50 buy in and 20 teams of 8 (160 people for those that can't be arsed taking there shoes n socks off to work it out!) It has become a very popular event and to accommodate the level of interest APAT had to reduce teams to 8 players from 10, allowing for an additional 4 teams, yet it still left 12/15 teams out in the cold.

I can't wait for it tbh, apart from meeting up with RtR fish and putting some faces to erm Avatars, I will get chance to pit my wits against the established APAT community, there are some very strong teams in by the look of it. RtR came 2nd last year and although not part of the RtR team, but a regular on the forums, Mair took down the whole event for individual glory, fantastic acheivement, so RtR going one better would be amazing! I have been really focused on MTT theory these last few weeks and training hard. Hopefully it will pay dividends at the felt.

Although I have two slight worries:

i, I am seriously out of practice with the ol' ale consumption and can't face being pwnd by NoCash and Snake in the supping stakes. Plus my attempts to keep up could result in some embarrassing behavior!! (Basically that was an apology in advance for the state I "may" get in.) Although when playing I will limit myself to a pint every half hour, to pace myself. . . hic.

ii, Mik has told me we are wearing Salmon coloured team shirts . . . erm I'm sure he's pulling ones plonker, but if true! Salmon = Pink, Pink = Gay. Now I'm at ease with my sexuality, and can no doubt pull off wearing pink, I just worry for the other chaps!

So "if you have a (Poker) problem and no one else can help and if you can find them (RtR) maybe you can hire the g"A"y team."
