I almost don't want to play

cos I never want this heater to stop!

Yet I guess it has to a some point. Last Friday night and Saturday were the most profitable in my poker life. I ran well, avoided many tough/marginal spots and have cut out what I think are my biggest leaks. I have had a few downswongs the last two months since I started grinding the cash, the worst being a -$690 day but those few aside, I have just seemed to win, win and win a bit more. It's a little bit redic and sureal tbh.

Although I'm not complaining. I think my run good is boring the pants off a few on RtR, with no doubt a few waiting in anticipation for the inevitable, "Its all gone tits up post". But without the great advice I have got off some of the RtR regs, I can be certain I would be not even playing at the stakes I am and doing so well, not that me jumping from $10NL to $100NL following my initial heater was condoned by a long stretch, but individual hand advice and bollockings for shyte play have been invaluable. The irony is I still don't play with a HUD or tracking software, which is not the done thing in cash games, so really need to pull my finger out in that regard, I do take tons of notes though which are really needed. I don't think Friday and Sat were a coincidence though, apart from the obv run good and hands holding, I had watched a few training video's on Thursday which really cleared up certain grey areas I had and helped no end in certain tough spots I get in alot and invariably play badly. I'm hoping to watch more this week and have another profitable week. Fingers crossed.

Saturday night!

Went out for a "few" locally with the lads, but ended up in Blackpool, finally trudging in at around 6am according to the missus!!

I have very little memory of it although reliably informed it was a good night from the lads and was pleasantly surprised to find 30 quid upon emptying my pockets when I got up. She had been out herself for her mates birthday till 4am, but still wasn't overly impressed. I finally woke up around 4pm Sunday properly hung over, it wasn't funny, head pounding lips stuck to my teeth, the works, not felt that ill for a long time, I'm still suffering now!!

I sat zombiefied through dancing on ice, trying to enjoy the clams on show, I bet there alot of lads out there have that recorded and the pause button on there controller worn to a nub lol. I'm right behind Jennifer Metcalf to win. Fell asleep on the couch at some point waking around 3am this morning freezing my moobs off!!

The week ahead: Hopefully getting to the G one night to warm up for this weekends APAT team event. I will be representing Raise the River again and am looking forward to a good craic, with plenty of beer and laughs, hoping Mr O and Rubbish get up for a bit of drunken railage before we hit the town and see what Bolton has to offer.
